L & A County Farm Field Gourmet Dinner!

Named after Augustus Caesar, August is truly a noble month.  Warm summer days, cooler nights, the entry into fall with its splendid colours.

 And in Lennox and Addington County, it’s also the month to celebrate the harvest of fresh foods grown by our local farming community.

 Join us for dinner (in a corn field) on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and enjoy a unique end of summer experience in this first ‘farm field’ gourmet dinner.

 Hosted by the County of Lennox and Addington, Economic Development department, this unique culinary experience features a seven course dinner showcasing L&A produce, meats, cheeses and wines to be held at Mcpherson Farm just south of downtown Napanee.

 This epicurean delight has been conceived and prepared by Pat Forster, local chef and Culinary Professor, Loyalist College.  Dinner courses will be twined with complimentary wines from L&A County’s two well-known wineries, Bergeron Estate Winery and Thirty Three Vines. 

WHERE:  McPherson Farm (County Road 8, 200 meters south of James Street).
